45 Years of Exchange between the University of Stuttgart and the University of Calgary
This year, we marked 45 years of the International Study and Training Partnership between the University of Stuttgart and the University of Calgary. Since 1978, the program has connected students in civil engineering and geodesy and has enabled valuable academic and personal experiences on both sides of the Atlantic.
During the anniversary event, former program coordinators and participants shared insights into the origins, development, and lasting impact of the exchange. We would especially like to thank our speakers Ekkehard Ramm, Volker Schwieger, Mamdouh El-Badry, Shelley Lissle, and André Haufe for their contributions and reflections.
We were very pleased to welcome so many alumni to the celebration. The exchange of experiences and the opportunity to reconnect after many years once again highlighted how formative this period of study has been for many participants.
Our special thanks also go to the DAAD for their longstanding support, as well as to all donors who contributed to making the anniversary event possible.
